Overview
Productization of SIE Infrastructure Services (SIS) — Sony's on-premise infrastructure platform, the equivalent of AWS inside PlayStation — through UI, API, service modeling, and cross-functional technical product development across a ~250-person engineering organization. I own a broader systems engineering and integration remit: turning infrastructure capabilities into coherent products through UIs, APIs, and architectural alignment. I coordinate across infrastructure providers, architecture, TPMs, business owners, and customer-facing stakeholders, driving alignment around how services should be exposed, consumed, governed, and evolved — making productization real by connecting strategy, architecture, user experience, delivery planning, and cross-functional ownership.
Achievement
Achieved VP and Senior Director-level alignment on a product operating model for SIS — expanding the Business Owner role beyond the UI layer to encompass API ownership and full product accountability.
Outcomes
- ◆ Product operating model ratified at VP and Sr. Director level
- ◆ Business Owner scope extended from UI to include API — full product accountability end-to-end
- ◆ SIS positioned as a product organisation, not just a delivery function
Key Learning
This role is building my capability to lead at director level across product, engineering, architecture, and organizational systems. It is teaching me how to create clarity where authority, ownership, and technical complexity are distributed across many teams — and how to make productization real rather than conceptual.
